Getting started
What AnhourMail is, how to get an address, and where to go next.
AnhourMail is private, fast email. You get an address at anhourmail.com, or you can use a domain
you already own. There are no ads and no tracking, and you can take all of your mail with you whenever you like.
Get an account
Create an account in the console at app.anhourmail.com: choose Sign up and enter your email address and a
password. The free plan gives you an address at anhourmail.com; paid plans add your own domains. See
pricing.
Find your way around the console
- Search at the top finds mailboxes, aliases, domains and people you can see. Press
/to jump to it. - The navigation on the left lists what your role can open, with counts (mailboxes, aliases, domains, invites waiting to be accepted). Its main button adds the thing you're most likely to add next. Collapse it to icons with the menu button at the top left, or ⌘B / Ctrl+B; on a phone it opens as a drawer.
- Lists have actions above them, a search box on the right, filters underneath and a ⋮ menu beside each name. Tick several rows to act on them together where that's possible.
- Details open in a panel from the right, over the list. Close it with the ✕ or Escape; its address can be bookmarked or shared with someone who has the same access.
- Press
?for keyboard shortcuts.
Read your mail
- In the browser: sign in to webmail at
mail.anhourmail.com. - In a mail app: Thunderbird, Apple Mail, Outlook and most other apps work. See mail app settings.
